Product Care

Caring for clothes
In general, we recommend washing your clothes in cold water with like colors, without bleach or fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat and remember to never use a dryer sheet. We also recommend using a garment bag to keep your clothes in good condition. This means your clothes are protected from snagging caused by Velcro®, eye hooks or other sharp objects that can be found on other clothes.
Taking care of the bag
First, use a dry brush to remove excess dirt and mud. Use a mild detergent and warm water to remove any dirt with a sponge or towel. To dry, do not place your bag on a heater, just air dry at room temperature.
Taking care of hats/caps
First, use the vacuum’s brush attachment to remove any dirt or dust. To hand wash the cap, wet it in the shower or sink using cold water (unless the tag says otherwise, always check first) without letting it get too wet. Next, apply a mild shampoo or detergent to a soft-bristled nail brush or toothbrush and scrub the cap until clean. Rinse off any residue thoroughly (remember not to over-soak the cap). For nylon or knit baseball caps, you can soften the fibers by mixing a few drops of conditioner in a jug or bucket of water and rinsing the cap with water after it’s clean. When you’re done cleaning the cap, place it on a bowl, a wadded-up towel, an inflated balloon, or a hat stand. This helps it maintain its shape while air drying. Don’t use a dryer on your cap, as this can cause it to shrink.
Taking care of shoes
The recommended cleaning method for New Balance sneakers is to use a soft bristle brush (an old toothbrush works well) and a mild detergent (either dishwashing or laundry detergent). Make sure to use a dye-free detergent to prevent stains. If you are unsure, we recommend doing a spot test with the detergent to make sure no stains will set in. Scrub the sneakers with the brush and use a damp cloth to wipe them clean. Then let the sneakers dry completely for 24 hours. To remove and prevent shoe odor, use a shoe deodorizer spray. Washing sneakers through a washing machine cycle is NOT recommended, as some sneaker materials should not be exposed to heat or submerged in water. Make sure any cleaning products you purchase and plan to use are silicone-based to avoid any potential damage to your sneakers. Suede or leather sneakers require suede or leather cleaners respectively. For best results, always follow the instructions that come with the cleaning product.
